I am sure people have games from other countries and so forth. I bought Tekken 2 import version back before Tekken 2 came out for the American PS1 back in the day since I was able to do the swap disc trick with my original PS1. It allowed me to play the game 6 months before the American version came out. Question I have is, is it possible to play the import version on a 3.40 OE-A PSP?

yeah just enable different region in recovery mode.

I may not have correctly understood your question but PSP games are not zoned.
