Default Possible easy route for a PSP modchip?

*Note before I begin I do not intend to bring up an subject of playing illegal ISOs or ROMs, this is just an idea, so please refrain from saying anything that involves piracy* :hand:

Okay so a friend an I were talking and we thought a type of USB plug-mod might be the simple and efficient solution to a working PSP mod-chip. As soon as someone finds the code for the PSP to access the USB port, there may be something like this availible. Once the USB is accessed a loophole could be injected into the PSP to get homebrew to run. Again, sorry if this breaks any rules about piracy, because I certainly didn't intend to...

So guys, any thoughts on this idea?

Ya but the only thing is that to access anything from the usb thing u have to use the "usb connection" and when u exit from the usb connection whatever was in the usb outlet isnt accessable anymore.

Yeah I was thinking about that as well, but like I said maybe someone can make a code that just accesses it without even going to USB mode. If that could be done we would be golden...

But thats a homebrew app so why would you be using a home brew app to run something off usb to get homebrew to work. All so that only enables a host device to connect but suppose that depends on what usb device your planning to plug in.

hmmmmmmmm.... that would require some kind of homebrew app to execute the code...... dead end, unless someone finds some sort of loophole where the psp accidentally accesses the USB port.......

Any more idaes fellas??
