I emailed sony asking them some questions and i had some suggestions so i figured why not. In the email i included questions regarding there security issues. Here is the reply email:

We value your input and appreciate you bringing this to our attention(like they really care). Please rest assured that we
will convey your feedback to Sony Computer Entertainment America's ("SCEA") appropriate management.

Sony Computer Entertainment America, Inc. (SCEA) has issued a security patch for the PSP(TM)
portable entertainment system called, "PSP System Software Version 1.52 Update". This patch has
been added to improve the security in the PSP system software, as well as, allowing UMD(TM)MUSIC to
be played under "MUSIC" in the home menu.

If you have further questions regarding this message, please refer to your email case
number:*******.

Yes, only a patch. Which is why it was 1.51/1.52 as opposed to 2.0.

Its wrong about letting you play UMD music. The Demo disc that came with the PSP has music and it can be accesed from the Music menu as well.

Go on, check if you dont beleve me

That's totally different. Those are MP4 videos, if I remember correctly.
