Here's the problem:
I updated from 3.10 OE-A to 3.40 OE and now whenever I try to run a game with the prx enabled it hangs during the opening movie. The sound works to a point and then it stops. I can press home and it asks me if want quit the game but when I choose Yes it freezes.
I've tried the following:
Updated cwcheat, set cpu speed to 333MHz, reset to default settings after update.
Any other advice?

Do you have any other plugins enabled with CWCheat?

No, i don't have any other plugin enabled but i just found out it happened in 3.10 also so .. i dunno .. bad game

It does this to all the games or just certain ones? And do you have the right cwcheat version that is compatible with 3.40?

It happens only in Final Fantasy.
I have cwcheat 017 revB.
I think it's a bad game because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. And if i skip the movies the game works fine.
Anyway, it's not a 3.40 problem because it happened in 3.10 also.

Oh it's a bug. A lot of games like Socom have certain points when you have cwcheat enabled it will freeze. A lot of games have this.

Thanks for your replies, but, as i said, if i skip the movie it works. I don't know if there are any ingame movies in Final Fantasy but i hope it won't freeze if there are.
And i can always disable cwcheat and then it works.
I'll have to try Socom and see if it does the same.

You could also try PSPShark or CheatMaster. You can import from CWCheat's cheat.db with PSPShark but CheatMaster would require you to find the addresses yourself (which most gamers don't want to do).

Like I said. Certain parts of the game seem to conflict with cwcheat. May it be a movie, a certain level, or a certain scene. It all depends. Sometimes in the beginning of a game too.

There are in game movies in FF. A few, but there still are.

And are you playing FF8?

I think he means the Anniversary edition because they all have opening movies.

Yup, i was talking about the anniversary edition and maybe someday i'll try pspshark or cheatmaster so thanks for the advice.
Anyway I just tried cwcheats 017 rev D and it works now. I read that some bugs have been fixed with the reading of the umd. Apparently there WAS some problem with 3.40.
Just thought you'd like to know.

i have same problem too with Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos codes seem like none of the codes r work at all only the sp and hp in battle r working whenever i try to turn on the codes call infi bonus it just freeze the game when i try to check status-- does anyoen know know other website can i look for new codes for certain game ? seem like those codes on the onsoleworld website r not working

The HP and SP might require pointers to the addresses. In simplistic terms, they could always be stored at a different address. This is not uncommon for RPGs.

You could always try to do a search yourself to see if it's just bad codes that someone submitted. Since RPGs always show the actual number of HP and SP it is very easy to find the addresses.
