Hi guys I recently downgraded my psp to a 1.5 firmware using the Lumines hack, it worked very well, and im proud of myself for having not bricked my machine in the process, anyway I recently installed devhook 0.45 on my memory stick for the psp which also works, however in order to run certain psp game images directly from my memory stick, I have attemped to install Devhook 0.51 which in turn allows a firmware 3.01 update (emulation) to be installed.
Now this is where the problem is I checked one of the youtube tutorials for doing this and followed it right down to the last detail, when i load up my psp, and select game, I can see the icon for the 3.01 update there, I click on it which brings up a black screen with " Press [x] to install firmware 3.01 for devhook"
When I press x, it displays an error message saying
"Looking for update Eboot on ms0:/Eboot.pbp
Found Update Eboot
This is not a 3.01 Update Eboot
Auto exiting in 10 seconds"
Now I downloaded the update eboot from this url: http://dl.qj.net/FW-3.01-update-PSP/...1396/catid/163
not only that I renamed the file EBOOT.pbp and placed the file in the root of my memory stick, but yet my psp continues to display the error message above :Argh: So ive gotta admit im at a loss here, anybody got any ideas, have missed anything.
