Default M33 CFW == Bad POPS support?

Before I upgraded to M33 firmware I had no problems with POPS games (under 3.40 OE). But now it seems that M33 firmware has a lot of compatibility problems. I tried with 3.52 and 3.52 update 2, with all of the options for the POPS plugin supplied with update 2 and I still can't get known good games to boot. Actually it looks like at least part of the problem lies within the XMB itself since some games will show as 'Corrupted Data' where in 3.40 OE they showed up fine. Is anyone else having the same experience?

There was. IIRC 3.01 OE was around for a short time and 3.02 OE was around for an even shorter time before 3.03 OE became the 'standard' of the day.

The only bad thing I noticed is that you can no longer access the Status screen on Chrono Cross but that's only minor.

I am on Disc 3 of FF7, and that's more than I can say for 3.40 OE-A. I got to plant the bomb and got a big green fuzzy puke screen of death.

try running the psx eboots through irshell if they show up corrupt in xmb, in irshell you can run programs that aren't in the proper folder structure...just find the eboot and run it...
