I think I can revive my old psp, I semi-bricked it with ThemePSP, Lumines' firmware requirement is 1.00, my psp is stuck with 1.5, so, I can boot any game before that, how does the downgrader work? can I downgrade (restore) my psp's firmware to 1.5 then upgrade to 3.40 OE successfully?

No, he can't. At least not as of now. Fanjita is making a flasher for people who are stuck like this though.

He can boot into games, which means he can run the eloader, which means he can downgrade.

EDIT: Oh. I see..... you cannot downgrade 1.50 to 1.50, so I guess you're right.

M_I, you just proved that you've never used it...

The part of the 3.50 downgrade process that uses Lumines is just HEN

The actual downgrade has to be run from the XMB.

what are your talking about? his question already makes no sense to begin with... how can he be stuck at 1.5 ?

even if he's at 1.5 all he has to do is just paste the m33update maker folder on his mem stick and run it. Then run the m33 updater. There is no need for lumines at all..

Even if he made a typo and actually meant he's stuck at 3.5, he's still not 'stuck'. he just has to use lumines and the downgrader. There is no need to upgrade any firmware (requiring fanjita's fixer)..

haha people always assume eveyone has a recovery menu. sony doesnt ship psps with those hahaha......

just wait till he makes a eloader type ting that can launch the m33 update or the universal downgrade. btw you can downgrade to 1.5 from 1.5.

ok i understand now.. you should have mentioned u have no XMB and 1.50 recovery.

Ur screwed.

Someone must modify the lumines exploit so that it directly launches the m33 update instead of hen. You should prepare the m33 eboot using the m33 creator on another psp and have it ready..

And fanjita is NOT working on this. He's working on the 3.10 corrupted keys fix. Though I think we should suggest that he make one. It would be an invaluable tool. Because there are many cases of bricks which can boot UMDs.

Open the UMD door, then if it says IC0003 on the top right corner you have a TA-082.

If not, you don't.

There's no such thing as a "right motherboard" for this downgrader. They all work.
