PSPtube! Homebrew, play youtube videos w/o hosting on wifi

This app is so awsome. but its missing something... WPA support hehehez. for those who are saying that you have wpa working exactly how do you have it set up? do you have it static ip? i heard dhcp wpa wont work so does that mean static does? ive already tried static and still... failed. maybe its just 3.4 OE? also for those telling others to use wep instead... well i dont know, i dont think people who have 6 or more clients using their router wants to re-configure all those devices again just for this.

People with connection problems: If you have CWCheat installed make sure you hold down L when you start this up.

I tried with a smaller video and it worked

once you download to your favorites folder how do you watch again.

BTW - with new version...I had this app workin with WEP and in both 1.5 kernel & 3.5x kernel mode while eboot was in 352 folder.

Press Select to switch to the favorites folder. Choose the video. The name will be a weird string of numbers and letters because that's how YouTube names uploaded videos, but the video will play just fine. You can rename the video file if you want to make it easier to identify.

I've noticed the Vsync option has problems. I'm guessing it's something about syncing the video and audio. However, when I set it to 1 the audio and video lose sync more often then when I set it to 0. But when I set it to 0, the video is more choppy. I'm not really sure what I should set it to for now...If anyone else wants to experiment, music videos are very good for testing whether the audio and video lose sync because they always show them singing the words so if the lips don't match up you know it's off.

EDIT: I changed vsync to 0 and some videos workd better, but some still hav audio amd video problems

its a motem for quest and a wireless router

i have 3.40LEv3
And i have wep on my Router
If i have PSPTube in my game folder and Kernel to 3.xx it has a network failed thing
But if i have the 1.50 one in the game folder then i can get the network and stuff to work but it shows no videos..:Argh:

if i put the file where you put the dev id from the old psptube version and put it in new version will it work?

for anyone having problems disable all plugins, overclock to 333 and if a selected video wont play then just keep tapping X.

also when setting up your connection choose easy settings, if you set up the ip address manualy you will get the no video error.

I am having problems with this, it connects but when it gets to the keyboard I select start to search and it goes back to the keyboard, it keeps doing it. it connects fine.

Please can somebody help.

how do u add a video to your favorite folder?

Can you watch youtube vids through the browser so you can go on the atualy youtube site or different ones?

It actually grabs the flv file, and plays it, as you can see from the favourites. BTW, the decoder you were talking about is similar to this: http://vixy.net/
Perhaps that site will be of use to the coder (to download and convert using the net), its open source aswell.

connect thru USB and to go GAME325 --> PSPtube --> Fav --> and u can rename those FLV files

i wish she can put in a function so you sort videos with recent added, most viewed, etc...

Is it just me or does A LOT of videos not work. When they don't work it usually comes up video.google.etc.ect. Anybody know why this is? Or if it is fixed in the update?

Question: why does this psptube Need a Dev id? whats it used for? I am just wondering because im hoping one day this will be used for othere sites!:PC:

Its for using youtube on your specific system. Like porting it to a PSP.

Also the latest version seems to have fixed that problem

i still dnt know how to get thumbails

In the cfg file, where it says "thumbnail = 0" change the 0 to a 1. Works on teh new version.

i can get it to load, and at first it was showing 2 of my network settings, but none were the right ones. so i deleted all the network settings besides the one i need to use and now its telling me that there are no network settings. as i cant read jap, and i dont have the font pack installed, i cant read much of the psptube.cfg file. where/how do i input my network settings? btw if anyone else needs a dev id you can use mine: 61cH7-0K8Yw

What firmware are you on?

For some reason its not working for me. When I start it up, it says "The game could not be started. (80020148)". By the way my PSP version is 3.11.

im running 3.52 m33. also i can only get this prgm to load when im in IRShell... it just reboots to the xmb when i try from the xmb. and i dont have any plugins enabled. and im at 3.52 in recovery mode.

Downgrade to 1.5 using this then update to M33.

After that, you can run it.
