My suggestions for Frack Mod V :)
- some characters are a bit too dark (esp. numbers)
- please make more levels with corridors / rooms behind doors (rooms with different textures) like in your cube level or in wolfenstein and doors that are opened with switches
Thanks for your suggestions, in my lasts levels i was very close to the "out of memory" because of the use of severals moving / glowing textures.
For the corridors and the switches, i think it breaks the action but there are some interresting things who could be done with that.
Did you see the changes made in Frack Spaceship ? it has became my favorite level for now.
When the DE2 will be ready for use and his possibilities I will change almost everything in the Frack Mod.
Yes, the problem is, always the complete level is loaded into ram (and the md3 models and hires textures need a lot of ram). I want to change this in the new engine, so a level can be a bigger world, divided into different areas.
Oh mama.. Dungeons II games are gonna be so sweet.
Agreed! Atmosheric music would be the great thing in the Frack mod too. Charnold, will you realise music streaming to save the RAM in the DE2?

Defining level areas: In the editor. This doesn't mean, the engine will always render everything in an area. An area only defines which textures/objects of the level are currently in ram. Entering new area = some loading time.
Frack Mod IV DUNGEONS 3D 0.7 works fine with the new PSP SLIM & LITE.
Just put it in the PSP/GAME folder
Use the 1.0 EBOOT in the download page:
PSP_Dungeons_v0.7 Works fine Too.
A video of the Frack Mod IV and
the PC version playable with a joystick will come soon .
Huh? A CSO version? Tight. I'm gonna test it out for the first time now. :)
I've created a CSO version in order to allow everybody to launch the FRACK MOD IV

DUNGEONS 3D 0.704 .CSO is in works you just can't save the controls changes as the CSO is in read only format.
But the Homebrew's size is divided by 2.. You will have the choice!
I'm working on the FRACK MOD IV too but the out of memory limit don't allow
my 2 lasts levels to be playable in CSO ..
I'm working on Neo Geo and CPS2 Emulators with Roms Included In CSO format too.
But due to Copyrights this will not be published.
Frack - great!
But strange - my Serious Dungeons 0.5 (Dungeons engine v0.7.04) doesn't run from XMB on PSP-Slim with 3.60-m33 (but runs perfect under eLoader 1.000!).
Maybe the reason is that you've put in into CSO? Few month ago I've also tried to compile Serious Dungeons into CSO, using pbp2iso tool (downloaded it from the maxconsole forum...) it worked on PSP-Fat with 3.03 OE-C fw, but with some issues (heavy rendering artifacts, especially with textures).
Does your CSO work perfect? What tools do you use to convert PBP into CSO? Try to do it with Serious Dungeons 0.5, please ;)
In the CSO version of DUNGEONS 3D 0.704 The 5 firsts levels are working fine but not all and i've only tested the 2 firsts without problems until i publish the CSO, so sorry but the CSO version of DUNGEONS 3D 0.704 will be retired until I fix the Problems.
In order to create a working CSO you must fallow a lot of rules:
1 - No problem reported in the protokoll.txt ( you can't write in CSO )
use "fake" smaller but with the same names textures for enemies2d...
2 - you can't use capital letters nowhere ( only for the map_tex_characters )
3 - In the Bigs Levels ( In MB ) You could reach the Out of memory even if there is no problems with the working non CSO version ( My Problem on my two lasts levels )
4 - the folders structure must be the CSO one ( PSP_GAME\SYSDIR.. )
5 - Your eboot.pbp must be converted in EBOOT.BIN and BOOT.BIN
X - When everything seems ok use UMDGen to create the ISO of your homebrew ( It's the only one who has created working ISOS ) Great Program !
X1 - Try the ISO if it don't work search the possible problem ( try with only 1 level, only one model , use bmp instead of ....) (Good Luck)
X2 - 2 years later : Cso/dax/ compressor v0.38 by Ducseb
X3 - Congratulations You've got a working CSO !!
Frack - Huge Thanks!
Oh, this was my mistake! ;)

I wasn't understand why Charnold's Dungeons 3D were working and not the Frack Mods ....
off topic, but.... is there going to be a full storyline to this?
FYI serious dungeons 0.5 works fine from xmb on 3.71 m33

If it works the next realease could contain the Homebrew and a Story in PDF, in GIF or a video .
I already got a scenario for it..
The Frack Mod IV is only a mod of PSP Dungeons 3D v0.7 by Charnold,
the original Homebrew don't include Save points system or Bosses (Too Bad there are severals MD3's on
my computer who could be greats Nice Bosses.
On the Dungeons 3D v0.7 engine the models are loaded before the beginning
of the game and never unloaded until you exit the homebrew).
But.. Charnold is creating a NEW ENGINE ,this one will be very better and could allow everything ....
