"The guide" to windows 95 on psp(making the img).
Okay first of all let me explain a few things.
Your computer uses "x86" to run windows/linux/dos etc..
Bochs emulates "x86" like a snes emulator emulates the hardware.
the ".img" file is basically your C:
so like a computer..
make the .img
partition the hard drive(through freedos using a windows 98 boot disk) FDISK.exe
format the .img (in freedos using win98 boot disk in a: type format c:)
Boot the windows 95 cd in freedos, install to the img..
This task isnt for people who dont understand the basics..
Heres my final bochsrc for freedos when i installed 95 on the img(booting straight into the cd)
romimage: file=../BIOS-bochs-latest, address=0xf0000
floppya: 1_44=a.img, status=inserted
ata0-master: type=disk, path=win95.img, cylinders=304, heads=16, spt=63
ata1: enabled=1, ioaddr1=0x170, ioaddr2=0x370, irq=15
ata1-master: type=cdrom, path=e:, status=inserted
"path=e:" is my cd drive.
"path=win95.img" is my blank, partitioned, formatted image.
Running bximage from the bochs windows binary (from sourceforge) will allow you to create the image.
The bios's need to be in the VM folder too, just copy all the bios and vga ones from the bochs windows binary as well.
I know this isnt a full on guide, but it took me quite a few hours to work this out, and im sure this should help alot of you, who in turn, will help out those who dont know as much as you.
