All that needs to be done is to replace the 1.50 IPL on the MS to 3.XX or something and then have it boot up a firmware update. It's still not as easy as it sounds.

Not the one that came with the PSP. You need to have a PRO duo, not just a duo.

so they hacked the psp slim's motherboard now or did they finally get pandora to work on slim? i'm really confused on how they hacked the psp slim, last time i was online, it was unhackable.

oh god... i want the ceramic white japanese psp but it's much more expensive. the north american version only costs 224 CAD+tax compared to 250+ USD w/o the bonus UMDs... sigh...

hmm they must have figured out how to get it to run the new ipl

or they just used 1.5 idstorage but the only problem I can see with that is I don't think 3.60-slim vs. can run using the 1.5 idstorage. I don't see why sony would allow it to run using a 1.5 idstorage because it won't be on a psp that ever can with 1.5.

this guys are fast, the update eboot wasn't even launched, and they are already working on a new custom fw, for one machine that wasn't hacked yet (or was it, if yes, why it wasn't announced yet, anyway, math and dax already decrypted it anyway, dunno how, but they did it)
Conclusion: psp slim is hackable, and i guess that m33 wouldn't posted it if it wasn't true, or did they made a mistake when writing the article, anyway .....

hehe nah I own 2 psps already so I would just sell them for $150 each so it will only cost me $100. $400 for a psp is pretty crazy tho more than my 360 lol.

i see how they could make a spelling mistake or somthing...but a whole article? =) anyway they are very fast haha i wont get a slim for a long time.

well the decrypted ipl is probly the same old one. But the problem is reencrypting it, or at least patching the ipl.

You've come a long way; now be happy with what you do have.

Don't think they are somehow expected to make a custom firmware for the original PSP. Again, be glad with what you have, or purchase the Slim. Simple.
