how could there be an ISO of GTA if you have to update? :Argh: :Argh:
you can mod the iso ^^
(I do not think they like the discussion of ISOS, as they are illegal either way.)
Can't wait then
technically, we are only discussing if it would work, not about the piracy, atleast it's not my intension, :p I know better
Yes there will be an GTA ISO but being able to play it is a different story depending on if it comes with 2.0 or 1.52 update makes the difference.
I hope it requires a 2.0 update. All this piracy is getting out of hand. :)
its not getting that bad like on the dreamcast.Zitat:

(*)Yes but u would need a memory stick of 2 gb or higher..because Rockstar said they r gonna use the whole disk..(passing 1 gb)(*)Zitat:

The only reason I'd download is cuz if it forces an update and if someone could take that out, like in coded arms then screw updating I'm downloading it!!!
They'd shrink itZitat:

If it were so easy, there would be people playing MC3 off their memstick, now wouldn't there?
And then there's the probability that GTA will require graphical modules that aren't present in the 1.5 firmware (but were added in 2.0) making it impossible to play without the necessary firmware.
i bet they will find a way to play it. hey the worst case for me is that i just might have to play it on my brothers 2.0 psp. but he wont mind sharing.
But any kind of theft is bad. I cant break into your house and be like, Well as not as bad as in Brooklyn!Zitat:

Well you can play that Megaman game that requires 1.52 using fastloader so there is a good chance it will work. However, I have a sneeking suspicion that Sony will have altered the firmware enough so that a simple bypass is not enough and that GTA will require 2.0. As Sony knows, if there's one game that will make people upgrade then this is it.
If Sony is smart about it they will require 2.0 and use some of the new 2.0 features such as more polygons, color depth, or whatever was really upgraded.Zitat:

Although I do see some sort of possibility with the pirates creating a dummy file and shrinking the game and heck who knows maybe allowing it to run without the color/video additions.
argh
well you never know... gta might not be that good. chances are it will be amazing. but look at death jr. it was supposed to be amazing, but its not. also on ps2 and xbox gta needs ALL the buttons and psp doesnt have the same amount of buttons. And since all of us are spoiled by the complexity of all these games we may not like this GTA. but I still do think it will be amazing, but theres always a little doubt in my mind.
lmao!! Life is piracyZitat:
Zitat von Magneto3521
How do you know Death Jr. isnt good? And dont quote me a magazine review, because i dont base my purchases on those.
In my case piracy is not the problem. But since I have homebrew I didnt even touch the 3 games I own. Mostly playing Lucasarts adventures right now.Zitat:

my question is..what's your problem with ISO's? are you that much of a fanboy?
EDIT: not counting the mods or admin, you guys have reasons ;)
Oh come on Magneto... Just because you have a 2.0 does it mean that everyone else has to have one :snooty:Zitat:
Zitat von Magneto3521
True. But i dont want everyone to have 2.0, i just want the piracy to die down. And chris, no im not a fanboy. Being a fanboy is for nerds who lack social lives. Im just not a huge fan of theft. ;)
And yes breaking into someone house is EXATCLY the same as pirating software...
Anyways about the issue of size. If they take all the radio stations out (if they have radio stations) it'll lower the size greatly
Piracy is not going to die down, it will just get bigger and bigger. It's already been proven, once it's out, there is really no stopping it.Zitat:

The best thing you can do is try to ignore it the best you could. I've seen you time and time again giving piracy and people who talk about it a hard time.
I'm sure everyone of you people who knock someone for downloading and playing an .iso have done the same type of activity at one time or another in your lifetime.
Perhaps it was that MP3 you downloaded? A copy of Windows? A PC game? You made a CD for a friend? You used a copied CD from a friend? You downloaded a ROM? You downloaded a movie or tv episode to try on your PSP or computer? The list goes on and on....
The point is your not changing anything, if people want to pirate software let them. By talking about it all your really doing is promoting the use of it by advertising it, bumping threads and spreading information. In a lot of cases people visit here see the countless threads on piracy and learn it's possible.
Some people like to pirate software (me included) and there are many here that don't agree with that and I respect that they have that choice. But don't give people to much of a hard time about it since I'm sure 99.9% of you people have committed some type of theft in your lifetimes :)
Finally. Someone with a mature way of expressing their opinion. :naughty: Yes you've seen me time and time again expressing my views on piracy. Because that's how i feel. Just how ive seen you giving people who are against the no-update bypassers a hard time. And yes i do give the people talking about it a hard time because you know what? The site doesnt want it. Me criticizing someone asking about iso loaders is the same as someone criticizing a newbie for asking if 1.52 can support emulation. It isnt that i HATE pirates, its just that it gets very old having people asking about it, knowing that the site is against it. Like you said, everyone commits piracy in one way or another, its almost unavoidable. But bragging about it, and getting angry because the site doesnt support it, well...thats just plain immature.

ok there is a difference between Downloading roms of games that can no longer be perchased, and Downloading a PSP game, which is still out there, waiting to be bought... If a game can no longer be perchased (Dreamcast, SNES etc.) then what the hell are you supposed to do???Zitat:
Zitat von Merovingian
And when It comes to music, I'm one of the few people who uses this excuse, and sticks to it... I only download music as a borrometer, too make sure that a CD is worthy of a perchase... I'm not sure if you've seen those new priceline commercials, the "Shop and Compare, bwfore you buy" commercials... But that's what I'm doing... I don't want to buy a CD, and it turns out to be crap...
If I download a CD, and I like it I will buy (and I stick to that)... If I listen to an album for about 2-3 days, and come to the conclusion that it sucks, then I delete it... Simple as that...
Now, back on the topic of loaders... I'll be the first person to tell you, Piracy is a *****, and needs to be stoped... But I'm not talkin' about people who do things honestly, and only try things out, and not steal them... I mean, becuase really, what's the difference between renting games, and using loaders??? It's not piracy that we should be worried about, it's these idiots, who get ISO's, and MP3's, and use them, insted of buying what it is they're stealing...
I have no problems with Loaders, and MP3's... I have a problem with people who missuse them, a take advantage of them... They need to be shot in both lungs, and beaten to death with the Sunday New York Times...
I see your above statement being said and passed of by countless people, and all of you are wrong. A lot of those so called games you say can no longer be purchased in stores can be purchased today at most major retailers. Tons of great classics have been released on all the major platforms. NES Classics released on the GBA, SNES ports on the GBA, Classic packs released on the Xbox and PS2, 8in1 TV games packs (controllers that plug into your TV ) the list goes on and on. So don't try and suggest Roms are okay but all of you people who go after .iso's are wrong. There is no difference, the only legal download of a game is shareware, freeware and open source games, anything else is as illegal as .iso's. Your just twisting the classic saying to your advantage.Zitat:
Zitat von DaddyFatSacz
Well then someone should get out that NY Times and put a beating on you! :) Downloading anything for a trial is taking advantage of them and is a total misuse. Renting is entirely different since the company's purchase a lot of different games and offer then as a rental. You're downloading isn't getting the developers any money it's just misuse, renting on the other hand puts money in a studio's pocket. It's funny how the line of legal and illegal get blurred depending on people's points of view.Zitat:

Magneto3521 - I appreciate the statement you made and I agree with the annoying little kiddies who can't read the policy. The policy has never said we cannot discuss loaders if it's a discussion on the ramifications and just general news. It's the other talk that is forbidden however you know as well as anyone that once it starts the kids ruin any logical conversation we can have about them :) I support all the real 2.0 and 1.5 users and there opinions, it's the kids and leet thinking users who spin rumors and speculation off as fact that annoy me lol. Not to mention the people that treat people who pirate as someone beneath them. I can pretty much tell you the majority of them have done or are doing the same thing as they are in one way or another.
