Default 3.71 M33 causing problems...

Okay, so I updated went from 3.40 OE --> 3.52 M33 --> 3.52-3 M33 --> 3.71 M33.

Now whenever I boot up my PSP, the SCE logo always appears and the demo UMD I keep in my PSP always boots. I checked the configuration in the recovery menu and both options are disabled! But it still happens every time.

Any suggestions?

This CFW is buggy, all I can say is check again or keep the UMD out. BTW 300th post! Oh and you can't return to any other firmware until the 1.5 kernel patch is released.

UMD Auto-start is not disabled in recovery. It is disabled in System Settings.

I'll try disabling the UMD auto boot in System Settings.

However, why does the SCE logo appear if it's disabled in the config?

If the problem persists go to 3.52 M33-4 and wait until a couple of bug fixes and the 1.5 kernel patch come out.

After disabling the UMD auto start in System Settings, the demo UMD I keep in my UMD tray doesn't boot up any more

But the SCE logo still appears for some reason. Ah I can bear with the logo, atleast the UMD problem is fixed. Thanks.

No problem. Also just to know everytime you go into recovery the settings aren't restored to default are they? There's a chance recovery settings aren't being saved. Or that option just doesn't work on 3.71 M33, I dunno.

The option just doesn't work. I made sure to go back and check the settings to see if they were being reset. But they're not. It's just not functional.

Very odd...
You could try formatting flash1. That *may* work. Go to Recovery Menu > Advanced > Format flash1 and reset settings. Then you'll have to select UMD Auto-start to off again though and you'll have to put other stuff back to the way you had it but it won't take long, try it.
