and freeze your psps on white screen .after your psps shutdown it's
because your second eboot.pbp like on kxploit "From pspsdev team for psp 1.5"
is corrupted juste find teh 02000800 and replace the 08 by 01 for test in
the header of your elf it's easy but it's proof concept the psp 2.0 can read
the elf but in another format .

the eboot.pbp exploit 2.0 from yoshihiro test

I am NOT the creator of this exploit, all the credits goes to Yoshihiro from WAB.

I am not certain the author wants his thread published outside the gueux.be forum, I hope he will forgive me to post it here.

UPDATE/EDIT: Thanks to someone in the maxconsole forums I've found the english version of the text that's been directly written by wab, so no need to translate.

I hope non-french speaking users and teams will be able to do something form this very text.

if you read correctly it's written that the eboot doesn't boot but freeze the PsP white screen and turn of the console.

It's describe where is located the exploit so devs and teams can go further with it and make bootable eboots on 2.0 PsPs, the current eboot is just a test file that is proof of concept

Yoshihiro is a well known name to me. He has a point tho, US 2.0 still isn't out and we all know that's cause Sony is fixing something.

PS: Yoshi has a link in his sig to buy PSP parts and even a 1.5 psp MoBo. That's always good to know.

Well unless theres some new features in the US 2.0 then just stick with the JP, who gives a **** about warranty, do something rock and roll, stick with JP!

PLUS deep down inside I really hope that this goes somewhere and that US cant run homebrew as I have been with JP since I got my PSP and ive NEVER run homebrew in my life! :boohoo:

This is the best news ever, I have waited for this for a bout since the 2.00 FW is out. Even though this is is not the homebrew launcher, but I belive they can DO IT!!!! Proud of the people who make this test!!!

replace juste your mksfo.exe from urs sdk pspdev X:\pspdev\bin or make your
****z.bat like that : mksfo My_appz_name param.sfo .

the original makesfo.c is from the pspdev sdk and just fixed for helped one guyz

Well were getting closer!
Atleast he's actaully bypassed something.
The only thing we need to now know is how to get the game to load.
(Has anybody tested this on 1.51/2 it might work?)
Anyway this is good new's.

I Can also say that he's made the param.sfo and the icon0.png different.

I Wonder why the psp see's the file?

Anyway i hope 2.00 get's hacked soon.

This is just a small step for 2.00 user's and it's all good new's.
It ain't there fault for getting over excited but i wouldn't count on 2.00 getting hacked yet.

As I stated earlier this isn't the exloit itself, but shows that it's possible using an elf file using another format (as stated in yoshihiro's nfo) the way in getting the far he got with the nfo supplied had been discribed in his post (just try doing the same with any elf file and an hex edit and rename it eboot.pbp and it will try to boot and the psp will try to read the file) so this shows the exploit but not the way to use it, then only devs or groups can get further with it.

Xtreme_Phil is right, this wont lead to running homebrew on 2.0 since there still is the header issue, and without finding a solution on that (wich is nearly impossible) you are stuck !

yes They are verry close Theres 1 way to try it. kxploit a home brew and rip the elf file from it and add it to the pbp. and im about to try it after i update my 1.5(yes my 1.5, No use i have a 32 meg card

It might not be a big step, but its great news for me knowing that yoshihiro is working on 2.0 ( I heard he ****ed up his 1.50 psp umd drive, and thats probably why he is selling the parts of it) But i am glad to have him working on it. He's released a lot of great work for WAB, and I'm sure he will do the same with 2.00 psp's.
