Default IRShell what!!

I'm sorry but I ill probably upset a few people here. but what is the big deal with Irhsell. I agree it's a beautiful bit of homebrew and a great interface. But it has nothing on the XMB in terns of general usability, the design is good don't get me wrong. I just don't understabd all the hype. I can do everything that can do from the programs I use every day. VSH, PSP filer, the XMBm, recovery menu, etc..
Sorry for the rant, but thought it pertinent in the current climate.
And I just felt like it too!!

IRShell can handle way more file types than the XMB. Also, IRShell can be used as an IR remote. IRShell also has multi-threading, so you can listen to music and run homebrew/UMD/ISO at the same time. IRShell also has the USB/Net hosting capabilities built in, so you can browse your PC from your PSP. And best of all, it has expansion capabilities for file types it doesn't recognize, or one's that don't even exist yet, but will soon. If you use it, you'll know why it's so great.

And that's where the beauty of IRShell comes in. It does all of that, but in a single app.

On my PSP I do, purely because I have too much music and want to store as much as possible on the memory stick, but as a general rule I use mp3 as wma is harder to convert to other formats where as mp3 is universal.

then why don't you use AAC if you want better compression?
