Default Hey all some help with psp Homebrew please

Hi all, I used to have a 1.5 psp but it is broke beyond repair now, so I feel its time to get a new one for FF7 CC and Chains of olympus

What psp do you actually reccomend I should get that allows me to download and play psp games through a memory stick or other methods, along with other homebrew such as MAME etc?

I want the psp slim but don't mind getting the old PSP model if the lite is not very hackable. Sorry if it's a silly question, I haven't been on the scene for about 2 years.

Thanks in advance guys

I love the Slim, I have 3.90 M33-2 custom firmware. You are able to load games and homebrew from the memory stick. You wont need the Devhook or umdemulators you would use with 1.50 firmware. The slim has a new motherboard that is not compatible with 1.50, so there are many applications you can play on a fat but not a slim, however most programs being currently released are 3.XX compatible and work fine with slim. The new motherboard in Slim has twice the RAM and uses battery power more efficiently + the FW 3.90 includes Skype VOIP service and that is something you can't get on a fat PSP! The motherboard on the Slim PSP wont let you make the pandora you need to get to service mode and upgrade to CFW, so you will have to find a fat PSP that already has custom firmware to make the Pandora.

A slim with service mode battery (aka pandora) and magic memstick will do the trick. Also, you can use Timemachine app to play the 1.5 apps that do not work(well not all).
