Yes. You have to fully reinstall the firmware.

there is no backup. the only way is to restore from a flash backup fatmsmod.prx and pspbtcnf.bin or to use pandora to reflash the firmware.

it can cause problems sometimes. For example, when i installed it the home screen stopped working.

UPMS lets you install fatsmod patch and back it up. which means , you can remove fatsmod patch if you used UPMS to install it.

Just re flash the firmware completely.

It changes several things, and not changing them back right results in a brick.
