I had installed a custom theme on my PSP slim a month ago. It included a custom video and sound when a game was started. I then learned that I could no longer play PSX games if game_plugin.rco was modified. Luckily, I had backed up my flash0 before I modified it. I replaced the file, and the PSX games run again.
However, I think I may have accidentally changed something else at the same time. Now my PSP displays the custom gameboot video, and the official one, at the same time, one over the other. It's very strange looking. Is there a way I can correct this? I did a quick search both on these forums and on Google, but I couldn't find anything particularly helpful. |

I'm inclined to disbelieve you considering that to do that you'd have to mix together the two videos overtop each other in a single file. You can't have two gameboots simultaneously; there's only one file... Reflash your firmware in any case.

Hmm.
Maybe I'm explaining it incorrectly. I may be confusing some of the terminology. So simplify, this is what's happening: ![]() How would I go about correcting this without re-flashing the whole theme? I'd be happy with either the stock or the custom... Just not both. |

you dont have to remove it exactly. download the decompressed RCOs for your firmware (google).
open it with RCOedit. Go to the AnimData section. You will find 3 "Delays". Somewhere inbetween that you will see a reference to an image alpha level. Change the values to 0 0 0 0 from whatever it is originally.

it depends on which .rco file you are editing at...
this happened to me also maybe 2 to 3 weeks ago... the good thing is, i have a back-up of my original flash0 or theme, so, i just put the original back in and from there, i just choose the right stuff for me... |

It will remove the original branding logo.
The original one is not a gameboot, that logo will be displayed on top of every gameboot, unless you remove it.

Or there is a PRX edit that hides this, it can be found on Endless Paradigm
