Default fixing a hard modded battery ruined my psp?

I hard modded my battery to make a pandora and found a program to install on the memory stick that allowed me to use the battery like normal by booting off of the memory stick. Well, when I tried running the psp through the charger with a different memory stick, it would not turn on. Am I stuck having to use this memory stick forever, or can I use a different stick if I switch the battery? Here's what the readme says.

PSP normal boot loader for pandora's battery.

--------------------
What is it?

This is IPL code to boot PSP normally with pandora's battery.
Because the code is small, it doesn't need mspformat with most case.

This code send a reset request to the SYSCON.
Then, the PSP does Normal reboot by the SYSCON.

You doesn't need to restore battery serial code to normal operation.
Keep your pandora's battery!

--------------------
How to install

1.Double click "install.cmd" in Windows XP/2K(Administrator).
2.Connect MsProDuo to PC via USB.
It is possible to use PSP USB Connection,or any USB MsProDuo Reader.
3.press 'Y' key to "Are You Sure ?[Y]" message.
4.Disconnect MsProDuo after few seconds.

Or,
Write the ipl_ms.bin to absolute sectors 0x10-0x17 of MsProDuo.

--------------------
next

The multi_boot_loader which does boot any IPL by buttons select comes soon.

ok the hardmodded battery cannot be undone. Assuming you have a second battery, just use the second battery for everyday use and keep the hardmodded one for those days when you need pandora.
Assuming you don't have a second battery. You can temporarily run you psp off of the AC charger so you can do some quick editing, well I guess you could run it forever off the charger but that seems kinda gay. What you can do is change your magic memory stick back to a regular memory stick and still have a pandora battery. Use this guide http://forums.qj.net/f-guides-hacks-...ry-125635.html I suggest you follow all the steps. And this should allow you to use your psp like normal with a pandora battery, and if you need to access the pandora part press and hold L at start up.
If you are having trouble getting the AC charger to boot your psp just take out the battery and plug the charger in (in that order).

Maybe I didn't understand your question. Hope this helps.

You can restore a hardmod battery. If a trace was cut just line it over with a pencil and if you cut off a leg solder it back on.

Basically, every Memory Stick used with your pandora has to have a IPL. If you have multiple Memory Sticks, just install the IPL on all of them, it does not take up much. If you need to quickly use someone else's Memory Stick, just boot using your Magic Memory Stick and then swap after boot.

I have only one battery, and it's pandora(soft-modded though). Use the TM ipl, it's easier to install and has the sleep bug fixed. Also, it's future proof for DCv5 and future TMs.

When you use the charger, and there is no "battery" it just retains the 'last used' serial of the battery last used.

So it's booting into service mode even with the battery removed, which means you need that multi-ipl memory stick in there still.

You need another battery to boot normally.

no it only retains the serial as long as the power is still connected. just disconnect the power for a second and reinsert it and it should boot normally.

Ah...that explains it. Thanks for the help. I thought I'd be stuck with this 512 mb stick forever.
