you're familiar with the name opera? well its a web browser and they have different versions that can be used for such things as portable devices like phones and what not. opera mini tells me this is one of the versions designed for portable devices.

Thread moved to Homebrew Discussion.
Care to explain what you have discovered and how others can do the same?

Ok, I confirmed. It's really possible!!!
Download PSPKVM version 3 and Mini Opera 4.0 to your pc. When downloading Opera, choose any system that it emulates (I downloaded NokiaN95 for tests only). Then run PSPKVM, connect to the internet and run the .jar!
That's it! Easy and real!

Until now I only get a tiny browser... I need more time for searching the best match, and change the resolution.

It scrolls smoother and feels more refined than the PSP's browser, but at the advent of quality loss and rather sluggish load times.

I already got an out of memory error on mine, so I keep the images turned off and the text to small.

Download the latest PSPKVM and install it.

Download the operette files http://www.getjar.com/products/3334/OperaMini

Load the network using PSPKVM and install the .jar file and it should work

The first option should have 480 x 272 resolultion, pick that one.

Goddammit, how did I miss java on the PSP? Anyway, I checked to see if the MSDict dictionaries work, and they do.
Fine job by whoever made PSPVKM.

MGMaps doesn't seem to be able to read maps from the memcard, but then we have mapthis so mapping is reasonably well covered.

Oh, and if you guys test how well opera mini works (speed, ergonomy, the notorious out of memory errors on the fat...) pls report back.
