I thought all that downgrade talk was BS from the start........

I am truly dissapointed for all the Euro peeps now stuck with their 1.52's

Good thing my V1.0 and V1.5 dont need it

I would imagine that he doesn't want his software to be the cause of hundreds of bricked PSPs in the PSP community.

I got a psp today and the game "Lumines" has the 1.50 firmware on it.

It obviously wont let me swap to it because "Newer version is installed no need to upgrade" but does anyone know if this can be hacked?

There MUST be a way!!

Using a hex editor to edit the 1.50 firmware version to 2.01 gets it to run (past the version error) on a 2.0 psp but it stops before the update starts. Has anybody tried this method on a 1.52 byediting the eboot to 1.53?

The main page said the downgrader was planned for today but yoshihiro hasn't had a chance yet to test it on europe psp's. after he tested it on them and it works he will probarly release it.
btw yoshi lives in france.

Thats gone way above my head, I think i understand the theory behind it;

Trick the psp into thinking 1.5 is a newer version

Everyone just relax and be patient. We've had numerous reports from "beta testers" that the downgrader does indeed work. However, it won't be released until it has been fully tested and deemed safe to use by the public...

...unless you'd rather Yoshi release whatever he has now and hundreds of people end up with bricked PSP's because it wasn't properly tested?
