I've just got my psp back from a friend after a while. It's a phat with 3.71 - 2 M33. Unfortunately, she didn't give me back my charger too, and I won't see her for at least a week.

Is there any homebrew app that will allow me to charge my psp through usb? I've heard this is a feature in newer firmwares, and in the slim, but I dont' want to update my firmware on a 15% charge. Thanks in advance

its not about newer firmwares with the slim, it came with 3.60 exclusively on the slim..

the phat doesnt have the connection between usb --> battery

so the phat cant do it because of hardware
you cant charge by software modding it

Apparently not that desperate or you'd of googled it, as I found this in 5 seconds.
Video proof of mod Tutorial for mod and HERE is a hardware mod, so you don't need to mess with your usb cable.
