When using normal battery, memory sticks do have a problem when accessing from a PC, or starting up a program on the MS.
I have created a magic stick with "PSP Pandora Deluxe 23", and with a PSP Pandora battery, I perfectly changed a PSP slim with 3.95 to 4.01M33-2 (DC7) .
Further info PSP slim:
Model: 02g (Slim)
Nand size: 64MB
On the sticker PSP-2004
Then I wanted to update to 5.00M33.
This failed with several different Sony 1GB/2GB/4GB and 8GB sticks.
All seem to have the same problem.
I did 2 tests:
1) Tried to copy files from the slim PSP to/from the PC.
2) Tried to update to 5.00M33
Results test 1) , Windows Explorer could see the memory sticks, but could not access them. Eventually a popup appeared "the ms is not formatted , do you want to format (translated from dutch).
Could not format the MS, not from the PC, not from the PSP.
PSP complains "There is no memory stick inserted.".
Results from 2).
Going to the memory stick on the PSP, I could see all parts.
When I start the part to update to 5.00m33, the orange memory stick led keeps flashing with an interval of 0.5 second, forever.
I used the same ms for other PSP's, which worked fine.
In the system settings of the PSP, I did a "Restore Default Settings" , but that did not make any difference.
I put PSP charge off, but that did not make any difference.
I used another PSP cable, did not make any difference.
I used all other ports on my PC, on mainboard, but did not make any difference.
Does anyone has a clue, please ask me for more info.
Thanks in advance.
