Install one onto the PSPs NAND, and the other one install onto a memory card and boot using a Pandora battery and custom IPL, theres plenty of examples around here of it being done (you can even boot a slim compatible version of 1.50 I believe).

just get hellcats recovery flasher, install whatever firmware you want, then when youa re done use the recovery flasher to go back to 5.00m33
you can even make a full flash backup (not a nand backup) and it will reinstall 5.00 and set any custom files you had back into flash if you have any.

From my playing around, it will backup a 5.02 customfirmware but it will not properly restore it.

Hey, I'm also looking for something that can dual boot. Mainly, I want to be able to switch from a psp/psx game to another homebrew (mainly a text file reader, like one from gamefaqs).

Just install 5.02 GEN to your NAND, and Despertar del Cementerio v8 to your memory stick. Then, if you ever want to use 5.00 M33, simply select "Test M33" from the DDC menu.

that isnt a dual-boot function, that is more of a multi-tasking or task switching function. dual-booting means to actually boot the PSP into a choice of two (or more) seperate Operating Systems.. or in this case, custom firmwares

i assume you require the ability to read manuals or walkthroughs etc while gaming? the kind of app you are looking for is something like iRShell, which can switch back and forth between a game and something else.. and although i havent tried the function with many files myself besides music and the RemoteJoy connection, i know it works well in most instances when switching. some stuff causes problems due to being incompatible for whatever reason, but nothing major, just glitches and the occasional freeze-up etc..

i havent come across any other programs that do the same thing as iRShell's switching function, but there is probably something simpler out there than having to use iRShell and all of its included features. some people find it daunting as there is so much to choose from.. maybe someone else knows of such an app.. anyway i hope that helps you in some way

Running Time Machine and installing despertar del cementraio v8 will be your best best.

Time Machine itself can't run 5.00 M33. DDCv8's Test M33 option is basically Time Machine but runs 5.00 M33.
