Which is better, and why? The only better thing about the psplayer i found was the volume boost. So is there more compatibility or what? I personally don't play avi's on my psp.

The XMB doesn't support AVI video, so for compatability I'd choose PSPlayer 2.0

AVI isn't working for me. Is there a good website for avi downloads?

Make sure they are low res and not very high bitrate.

But what about the other features? I mean the xmb player has the scene search, the custom playback speed, smoother playback with less cpu usage, and much more.

That's why I use XMB for general videos, for all other videos I use my PS3.

I find the old PSPlayerMT better than the new one ! I tested a few videos and they were all laggy on 2.0 version .
Anyway, most avi movies have a resolution above 480 x 272 so neither can run it . You must convert to mp4, and if you can put subtitles even better ! Anyone know a FAST software to do this ?

I know that pspvc does it, but by no means fast.

Now, if he'd compile a 64-bit one, that's another story, but until then, you get to use the 32-bit hours-upon-hours one.

super psptube is the best.

it plays almost all formats without needing to convert

no it plays 3gp, mpg, mpeg4, mp4,

3gp is kinda crappy on it though.

It even has a file browser. i always download ultimate psptube put the site scripts from it into super psptube.
