This is interesting news:

Accessory manufacturer Datel is being sued by SCEE because of their plans to sell the battery tool that could hack the PSP 3000

So, does this mean that the Blue Tool actually works? I want it even more now, and thanks to the lawsuit, we might never be able to get it! Argh!

No it does not work on the 3000.

If it didn't work, why would Sony bother to sue them?

Because you can still use it on the Phat and Slim. Plus, do you think Sony would want someone selling tools to hack their consoles?
