Default Need Help upgrading PSP Slim OFW 3.73 to CFW M33 5.00-6

Hi, Ive been away from the scene for awhile and am having a hard time figuring out exactly how to go about downgrading my friends PSP slim and then upgrading it to M33 5.00-6. Here is what I got:

PSP Phat with CFW 3.90 M33-3 (mine)
PSP Slim with OFW 3.73 (Friends)
Datel Pandora Battery
Other Batteries and Memory Stick Pro Duos

Many of the guides seem to be dated, and if someone could point me towards the most current way to accomplish this upgrade that would be awesome. Also, I figure I should also upgrade the phat to M33 5.00-6 as well, if someone could show me the best way to do that as well I would be very thankful.

You can update your PSP with Hellcats Recovery Flasher (just google it) and that'll bring your PSP up to speed. Now as I have never had to CFW a Slim, I can't help you there, but since it has OFW 3.73, I am 99% sure it can be hacked, because, if i am not mistaken, PSP Slim's with OFW lower than 4.00 can be hacked with a Datel battery and a magic mem stick, provided the Datel battery can work with slims.

this is a tad old, but if you use this guide, The MMSX 8 Guide, it will hook up the slim with 5.00 m33 R-3, and then you can simply update to R-6. other people will probably have better ways, so you may want to wait. But if this is good enough, good right ahead. it should work.

I hope i gave you some useful info.

BTW, I would love to post links, but I cant because I need 10 posts to post links. Sorry...
