hello everyone, I used to have a PSP some time ago with 3.71 m33 but sold it and now i am going to be getting another psp but i have lost contact with the PSP scene and i was wondering if you all could help me out by awnsering a few questions.

What is the latest firmware atm and how do i upgrade to it from 1.5

have the GBA/N64 emulators been perfected yet?

what new homebrew programs are there?

question 1: the latest (cfw) is 5.00 m33 6, and the latest GEN is 5.03A. If you are getting a a phat (i assume this because yo u said 1.5, and slim/lites dont go down to 1.5), then you can simply use a Pandora with a Magic mem stick and/or DC8. there are guides on this website and other that go into Pandora and MMS and DC8 on this site and others. I wont go into detail because it would be a waste of time when there are so many guides, lol.

question 2: I think the GBA emulators are top notch. try GPSP mod for GBA. it is really good. i have had no errors. (you need a gba bios flash tho, but thats not hard to find, but since it is cough**illegal i cant give it to you.) for N64, Daedalus is your best bet. N64 has definetly not ben perfected but it is good for some games. i think Mario Kart64 runs fine on it, but games like Goldeneye dont even boot.

question 3: there is lots of new homebrew, plugins and apps. if you still got a alot of your old homebrew, the might work on 5.00 m33-6. (90% of them propbly will work, cuz i had 3.71 m33 on my PSP before and kept lots of my homebrew) if you do that MAKE sure that the homebrew WILL work though ON 5.00 m33. i had about 2 programs that semi-bricked my PSP repeatadly until i firgured out which homebrew was doing it. but back to new homebrew. go to the download section of QJ , and the dev forum for the latest homebrews: http://forums.qj.net/psp-development-forum/

No the latest m33 is 5.00 m33-6 and the 5.01 patch.
And the latest GEN is the 5.50 GEN with 5.50 U3R-2 patch.
