Wab V3 Loader?

I got a quick question and i dont want to start another thread of bashing WAB. So please if thats what you came to do, go to another thread. My cousin has been in the psp scene since 2 days after the US release. He is telling me that the reason everyone is bad mouthing WAB is becuase they did the same thing with their universal loader as they are with the downgrader. They released videos of the working project and then just completely stopped talking about it and working on it once fast loader came out. I just want'd to see if i could get some background info on this. I have googled it and search'd the forums but not much info came out. I found out that WAB accused someone of stealing their code for the laoder and released it under their names but i dont see any other loader then boot hooks and fast loader. Just wondering if this downgrader is going to be the same thing as the loader or if the loader was not released because of something else. Please dont turn this thread into another 13 pages of bashing WAB i just want some info. Thanks in advance.

The reason why they did not release WAB Loader V3 is becasue FastLoader came out, and there was no need for their ISO loader.

was that what WAB said? thats what i figured or if the code was stolen thats another reason why they didn't release it.

they were just mad someone beat them to it, so they didnt release what they had, 2 ISO loaders at that time wouldve been nice, if 1 didnt do something maybe the other could..

this is what i think happened back then. they werent working on an ISO loader at all, they just hyped it up, and said they were working on it for some fame. then they just waited until someone else released an ISO loader and said there was no reason to release thiers because there was already one out. that way they got 15 mins of fame without doing anything. we still got an ISO loader so it wasnt all bad

i think they are doing the same thing with the downgrader. this time getting fame and money without doing anything, then someone else will release a downgrader, and they will say that thier downgrader isnt needed because there is one already out

10 steps for easy cash

2. spread the word that your working on something that hasnt been done yet

3. take donations for your cause

4. update the site with fake videos/pics

5. say that its close to completion and that you want it 100% working before releasing anything

6. wait

7. say you need more donations for X reason (X=because something was stolen, because you need money for court, anything that would need money)

8. wait

9. someone else releases it, say yours doesnt need to be released because yours is basicly the same as the one released by someone else, thank everyone for supporting you

10. count the money, and never speak of it again

steps 1-6 sound famillar?

Im not bashing WAB becaus I love Yoshi. I think their loader never got released because when fastloader came out they hadnt even started beta testing v3, I know some people who have the v3 right now that are beta testing it (I have myself seen it live too). Its just a matter of not having it 100% complete.

I would rather have 100 people *****ing at me about how late it is then 100,000 *****ing about their bricked PSP's (more towards the downgrader). I think its about time this thread got locked...Only thing to come out of this will be more flaming.

I agree. This is the topic which has caused most of the flaming.

People should decide to donate to a team when they feel strongly that the goal can be acheived.

The fact is, projects sometimes don't come to fruition for various reasons. Either they hit a wall which cannot be surpassed, or they run out of funding. This happens in all industries, and sometimes involve huge sums of monetary backing.

WAB has already given their offical reasons for the Loader not seeing the light of day. No one but them can provide a better response.


Remember, If you feel someone can acheive a goal and you can donate... donate what you can with the knowledge that you could be dissappointed in the end.

There was also alot of scene drama between WAB and PS2 NFO which probably had something to do with not releasing V3.
