Another web browser bug ?
Ok, as much as I am not the exploit expert here... I did encounter three errors with the 2.0 web browser OUTSIDE of the bookmark one.
1. I've been working on a little some lately, and so been running offline pages out of my PSP. When I changed my home page to the offline one, everything was fine, until I accessed it back. The PSP just shutted down, and when I turned it back on, all my settings were resetted, my background gone, as well as my homepage and bookmarks. This looks like an emergency reset because of a bug that would've cause the 2.0 webbrowser unusable.
2. Before this, I tried accessing a podcast directory website. It had no java, no flash, or anything. Suddenly, the PSP decided it didnt liked the website and froze... I couldn't do anything... then after witing about 7 minutes, i had a message (I am translating from french so it might be different in english): "Corrupted Memory Stick File". I don't know where that would lead... maybe would it be the cache or something...
3. I had two errors doing the same process, similar to the bookmark thing. Apparently, it occurs when you edit your bookmarks with windows. I edited my bookmark with windows... I have 2 addresses in it. I went to my web browser, checked if it worked, came back, went on the USB Connection, oops... PSP frozen, restart... but it restarted in the webbrowser, as if i never quitted it and just shutted down my PSP. Ok, second error, doing the same process but without playing with the bookmarks, I went into my web browser, browsed my offline files on my memory stick, left, and went to watch a movie. It froze. Fine, I restart the PSP. I open it and it says: "Invalid Video File" (again, translated from french, might be different in english). Surprise, it wasn't on the memory card anymore.
Anyway, this was only some discoveries i did. Errors 1 and 2 were only one time. It never occured to me again. For error 3, the USB thing occurs to me like 1 time on 4, as for the video, it occured only once, and i discovered the file was still there, only the PSP couldn't see it *shrugs*.
In any cases, I just wanted to share this. Believe it or not. See an exploit or not. Hope it helps !
