WAB version changer -- upgrade to firmware 2.0 may fail
there's an unconfirmed report from a japanese PSP gamer about some issue with WAB version changer/tricker.
This guy used the changer to trick v2.0-required games, and it all worked fine...but when he tried to upgrade to the official v2.0 firmware (yeah yeah, i know, why the heck would he do that  ) by firstly making WAB changer go back to 1.5 then upgrade, it bricked his PSP, now he's sent it to SONY to get repaired.....(lucky...)
I dont think anyone else have (or would ever want to) tried that...but there you go, there could be a risk later on.
same here.. but no brick..
hmm.. sad.. well i used wabs version changer too.. to change my psp to 1.0.. dont ask why.. anyways.. went to change back to 1.5 to play MC3DUB.. and it says i need to update.. so i got to change it back to 1.5 and it says to plug in the ac adapter and continue.. but the Adaptor was already plugged in.. so i sit there stumped.. then i go to my MC3DUB disc.. see the 1.5 update.. and bam updates begins.. gets to 99% and then error come up.. says to contact sony customer support.. well i then do a hard restart.. and go check my system version.. BACK to 1.5! NO BRICK! wewt!
