You can't. Someone is working on an SWF player at the moment, though.

what's a SWF?

SWF is the file extension for Shockwave/Flash.
Ah, that's cool. The 2.0 browser can't do flash can it... Hrm

No. The 2.0 browser basically is limited to regular sites; however Javascript (not Java) is supported.Originally Posted by z357x
A full listing of the features found in the 2.0 firmware can be found in the 2.0 FAQ.. link in my sig.
If you have the actual Flash file, you convert it to AVI using swf2avi (google it, first result) and then use PSP Video Express or whatever to convert it to PSP format.
I've been doing it with my Strong Bad emails lately.
Doesn't record audio though. If you want to go all the way through from downloading the flash file to having it on your PSP go to http://pspbrew.com and follow the Flash Converter guide.

i dunno what your smokin, but it does record audio.
You can convert swf files to psp format, and audio works fine. I have a few Foamy cartoons (illwillpress) that I've converted using "AdShareit" then I uploaded it in pspvideo9 and it works fine.
(You have to register AdShareit though or you'll have a big X going through the screen)
Thx guys, I got em up and running. Still, a swf player would be sweet - much better file sizes. To get good quality a 700k swf ends up being a 6meg mp4. I got the space to spare, but efficiency is always nice. Thanks again tho.
I don't know if this could be what your looking for or not, but I came across this program called: "PSP Media Player" Here's the description: v0.05 Formats supported (or intended to possibly be added) include .MOV (Quicktime), .SWF (Shockwave Flash), and others. (Based on mplayer codec?)
{There is a Media Player on this site, but the description is completely different so I'm not sure if it's the same one}

the problem with swftoavi is that the output file is about 1 gb in size... thats the size that mine was when i tried
An .swf player would be sweet. I have a few flash games in .swf format I'd like to take around on the psp.
The output file is huge, but when you convert it to mp4 its like 5megs average. Though there are sound sinking issues - off by like a second - is there anyway around that? I am using swf2avi when I get this error.
Also. I tried that player v0.05, but everything is in Japanese so I dont know how to get it to work : where .swf files go etc.
the SWF player is high on my list of overdue homebrew applications. Not only would cartoons play in better quality and lower filesizes than those converted using swf2avi, but it also has much more exciting applications if you think about it.
What if you could assign keyboard functions to certain buttons and the mouse to the thumbstick?
Flash games my friend. Flash GAMES.
Alien Hominid. Dad N Me. GANGURO GIRL.
I rest my case.
