From what I've heard, none of the MAME ports are particularly impressive at the moment..,.don't know from experience, though.

I'd be suprised if you could do anything much beyond Pacman running on the PSP. I've had a lot of experience with MAME, even went as far as building a full sized unit, complete with working coin slots, 4 players, and nice 27" tube
But it needs a lot of grunt. Remember you don't have too many clock cycles in that there PSP, and with emulation, every one of them counts.
