Default Downgrade statistic to proof that SXT is right/WRONG.

Accroding to the latest PSP news at the maxconsole, as of 10/01@18:00, SXT claim that MPH version of the downgrader can is unstable and have 5-10% bricking change.
Well, let's prove that SXT/Yoshi is right or WRONG.

So, how do you expect us to proove whether he is right or wrong? Do you want us to upgrade to 2.00, then dwongrade using MPH's v0.9 method, then upgrade to 2.00 again, and then downgrade using SXT's v1.0 method to see which firmware changer does/works better to dwongrade to 1.50?

Lol, it is impossible to make something safe that flashes to the firmware :P Since the update flashes to the firmware, there is always a chance. SXT are just looking to say that they are better/the best, it is really getting old and noobish

dont bother with sxt, they want publicity, and your giving it to them... they are getting lots of visitors to their site which means they make money from ad hits.. just forget bout them.

Wow that is dedication man, enjoy yourself, and try to come outta your corner every once in a while, it's not healthy.

And this jealousy is so childish, the downgrader hasnt failed anyone as far as we know, somebody's just a little cranky because they've been beaten to a sucessful downgrader.

No...I think they're cranky because so many people PREDICTED that they would be beaten to the download. Heh. Still, we don't need to encourage flame wars between the Montagues and the Capulets here. Keep it civil, guys. So far, so good.

Haha nice romeo and juliet reference, i played Tibalt in a play once and i think i made a damn good capulet. haha And i agree, no more "this group vs. this group" flame wars, the homebrewer vs. updater one was recently smashed, we dont need another.

actually.. mph had the beta v.09 and it never worked for me.. i stumbled upon SXT v1.0 and it worked for me.. so i think that its good to have more than one option to downgrade.. now my original 1.5 (1001) is back!

Maybe because you forgot to include some important file (in PSP root directory perhaps?) in MPH's downgarder, whereas the SXT's version works for n00b's who don't know what they're doing. (No offense man)

It's called margin of error and MPH probably gave those figures to statistly cover their a**es if tons of peopel went bad suddenly. SXT's numbers are probably the same as MPH. It's like the Pizza guys sayyou'll get it in an hour and it's actually forty minutes.

actuallly i included all the right files every time.. and for some reason my psp would just lock up.. no memcard acccess.. just locked up and reset itself.. when i tried sxt's version.. it worked the first time.. and it had onscreen text overlay which showed what it was doing.. therefore sxt's was more cleaner of a downgrader.. no noob here.. i know alot about computers.. sheit, i build pc's in my spare time..along with writing music.. sadly.. i was a screw up in high school.. and i skipped my computer programming classes a lot.. so i learned a bit in VBS and C but not enough to write my own progs.. that information is a little rusty now.. =[

Default SXT or MPH?

I downgraded with MPH's program as soon as it was announced and tested, and successfully...

Now my friend wants his 2.0 to be a 1.5, should we use the MPH or SXT downgrader?

There's not much between them, based on the code. Each has a slightly different window for bricking.

The SXT one is slightly more user-friendly, so it's probably the best to use. I've been working on my own downgrader that should combine the best features of both, but it's not really ready for primetime yet.

This should have really been an "open" poll so we can see exactly WHO is reporting bricking using MPH.

I've downgraded my PSP with the MPH when it came out, then my other one with the SXT. The SXT was a lot easier, and informative. But they both work the exact same.

Well, I just have to say the MPH downgrader works like a charm for me. Just downgraded a second time with no problems on the original downgrader. I have to say even though playing official games is fun, homebrew kicks so much ass.

Anyways yeah, MPH downgrader works awesomely for me.

Thanks,
I just used MPH's again with no problems at all - I love MPH

I can see how a more user friendly downgrader could be handy for people who won't understand terms like "root directory"...

Oh well, I've just made my PSP is a 1.5 for the third time
