UPDATE: I am also looking for someone who has experience in strategy sim games of this sort and can help brainstorm some gameplay ideas. If you are interested, message me on the forums. Your ideas must be thought out well and you must be able to provide info as to why it's an improvement to the game.
Utopia is an isometric strategy game that I have been working for a few weeks now.
Some of the current features are
-Scrolling isometric tile engine
-Multiple building types, each with different functions and stats (3 types of houses, 2 types of commerce, 4 types of water plants, 4 types of electricity plants)
-Resident count.. shows how many residents live in your city based on the number of housing you have built
-Statistical gameplay .. (ie: must provide jobs for your residents or you will have to pay for unemployment.. if your job industry is doing well, you will make money.. you must also provide water and electricity to your buildings)
-Auto-connecting roads.. simply click away and the roads will come together by themselves
-Sensitivity based cursor which allows you to travel the screen quickly or click a button with precision
Features still to come (some still being debated)
-More buildings (have to take out a few of the current ones which are from SC3k)
-New types of buildings (parks, schools, fire stations, hospitals, etc...)
-Map rotation (allows you to see your city from diff. angles)
-More gameplay functions such as taxing.
Anyone with experience in creating isometric style buildings and wish to help please private message me. If you don't have experience creating these please don't bother to message me, I have already had many people try to make them that couldn't.
