Default Can I use Fastloader 2 play 1.52/2.00 UMDs on 1.50?

Can I use this proggie to bypass the firmware check for games requiring 1.52/2.00/2.01 ?

If not, can I play ALL official UMD games with WAB Version Changer? Can I play online and against another psp in the room with the wab vc? (no matter which os is on the other psps) Is the wab vc save if u follow the instructions correct?

Is there another method to play SNES & Megadrive games aswell as new UMD games, besides the UMD swapping method. Im too slow to manually swap the disks... I prefer a non-write2flash method :icon_smil

I have no UMD movies yet.. Do they require a specific firmware? Cause I cant play my demo movie clips/ music clips which came with my EU PSP. Those clips need two new features which are implemented in OS 2.00, but not in 1.50. So what about the UMD movies you buy in the store now and in the future?

Thx

I just read this :
Fastloader .7 new features:
" - Possibility to start inserted UMD from selection menu (to allow overclocking)"

Does this mean I can play UMDs with Fastloader to bypass the update check?

If so, I think this is the savest (or is it "most save" ) method to enjoy all the goodies??

I don't think so. I don't have any UMDs to try it, anyway.

You can just use a disc swap if you have a game with the 1.50 update on it.

It's where you put a UMD that doesn't need an update in your PSP (Like a demo disk or a older game), launch it, then when the white swirly logo thing goes away switch out the UMD with one that needs an update. Pretty much just another way to bypass firmware checks with newer games and movies.

anyway, im too slow to manually swap the disk, as stated above. And opening the UMD door while the disk is starting up is very bad for your games and your laser. * You are better of with the version changer I think. But than again I hear terifying stories about brew which alters the flash memory in the PSP.. So this is a big dilemma for me. Thats why I ask if there is another way of playing those games which requires os 2.00/1.52/2.01 on os 1.50..

* Thats why dre´s (Disk Read Error) appear on some systems (I think)

If u wanna 'brick' your psp hardware, do the umd swap
If u wanna 'brick' your psp software, do the version changer
............ As I said..... major dilemma

+ OS 1.50 is far more stable than os 2.00! My PSP crashed two times in 2.00. One time THUG crashed, 1 time USB connection crashed. No problems with OS 1.50. [ just a side note ]

Sony should allow brew.. for real, they would sell mem sticks like candy. And sell more PSPs too! Everyone I know now wants a PSP because they could run SNES & MEgadrive games on it.
Mofos @ Sony

First off, stop double-posting.
Second off, Sony makes no money off of the PSP units themselves. They only profit off of the games and movies that they sell. They make no money from homebrew.
Third off, a lot more people would use ISO's if Sony allowed homebrew. This would mean that Sony would sell fewer games.

but, can't we just dump the umd game and find the firmware checker and destroy it?

cuz its probably in the code for the game, and it's really hard to find it.
