I have heard a little about the version changer.. but can sombody explain to me how it works.... like is it a homebrew app that constantly keeps it at a version (like 2.0).. or...what?
(i am worrying because I want GT:LCS very much)

It's to change the firmware version number (not the actual firmware) on your PSP to let it play games that require a newer firmware.

Well, I know that, but how does it work?
Does it stay "on" as long as it is installed, or what?

Heh heh. Yep! It makes your PSP think its a certain version so it lets you play the games that require,lets say (version 1.52) but you still have 1.50.

I used one called WAB version changer.

Works great.
As always, nothing has happened to me for using it, but use at your own risk.

Well let me go into more details..

It says like that permanantly...Untill you feel like running the program again and making it think its another version again. you can delte the program, but i dont recommend it because you might need to use it sometime.

Here is an example..

My Burnout game requires 1.52 or higher to play..

I had 1.50

I ran the program and pushed the button that made it think its 2.00.

It ran the game
and still played my roms(Because secretly in 1.50)

I heard that you had to run it EVERYTIME you turned it on!
