hey all,

i can see mpg file ok, but for avi (divx).. i only get sound.
how do i see the picture as well?

There are quite alot of variations of divx codecs available its probably down to that.
What app did you use to encode your avi?

Make sure the video is equal or smaller than the PSP's native res. 480x272
Or else you'll only get sound.

I still had a playable (as in there was still video, but it lagged in a chronic fashion) when i exceded the hight something like 340. Whats a good app to use at the moment i'm using winmpg convert and autogk and neither really give me any options and i can't get what i want.

hi ibanez, i'm not quite sure since i got those avi's from downloads so i'm not sure. but which kind of codec avi's would work?

Run the file through gSpot to see what particular DivX codec it uses.

I find VirtualDub to be the best for converting/resizing video.

i have virtual dub, can i just open the source avi file and save as avi using divx compression. will this target avi file be able to play on the PMP?
