Hi guys,
Why aren't we able to make our own wellfunctioning webbrowser, like the one in 2.0??

If Sony can do it, we should be able to do it too... no?

we already made a browser... and there are browser's for 1.5 that are better (as in faster) then the 2.0 one.. so yea. there illegal though so i cant tell u

Huh, I know about the wipeout browser and this chinese browser thing, but nothing else... And is it illegal to make yourself a browser??

I'm getting my psp wednesday and I want to browse the net and have some homebrew, and that's why I was wondering about the right browser for me

Fired up browser is the best for 1.5, its faster than them all and has a back button

i remeber a while back, that i saw that someone completly ripped apart wipeout pure to just accquire the webbrowser, this is illegal tho, but i might be possible with the fired up browser

Browsers just aren't the simplest thing to code. I've coded a HTML render engine before and the problem starts to get quite difficult once you get into it. HTML is pretty flexible, and when you throw in the TABLE tag and all the possible combinations of what you can do, it gets pretty complicated. Things also need to be kept pretty lean for the PSP as well.

seriously, i've seen all the homebrew browsers out there, and not one of them comes even close to the official 2.0 browser
there is just no good homebrew webbrowser atm

i'm sorry to say this but if your getting it on wednesday then you probably can't play hb anyways sony will have probably shipped out all thier psp's in 2.1 or 2.5 which by the way there are no downgraders but if your lucky you'll get a 2.0 just saying that you'll probably be scrwed anyways

That's completely untrue. Sony will not start shipping 2.50's until Nov. 1... but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be alot of 2.0's (or even some 1.50's) still out there. 2.01 has not and will not be shipped.
