I notice the SNES emulator has a hard time dealing with raster and transparency effects, it typically causes alot of slowdown (example on games like super metroid and breath of fire). I'm using snes9xTYL. I notice that on some games the music speeds up to normal speed when I turn the turbo feature on, I don't know if its because there are less frames per second it allows more power to be put into sound.
Is this caused by the PSP's hardware or a problem on the software side? I understand emulating these kinds of games is pretty demanding, and it may just be that it will never be able to play them perfectly. I'm grateful for the work the people do to make these, I was just curious if its possible that the issue may be fixed.
I pretty much only use the PSP for the emulation, since the games are so god awful =|
btw I'm running the sound at 22 (11 dosen't seem to make much of a difference) and the CPU speed at 333mhz. Changing any of the other specs dosen't seem to effect the game.
thanks for the replies
