Default Is there a no update that works for liberty city stories?

The one on here doesnt work for it, and i was wondering if there was one that worked for it. Too much work to upgrade then downgrade. Or is that the only way?
Thanks for the help/

There are no firmware tricks that will allow you to play GTA on any firmware below 2.0.

You can upgrade/downgrade constantly as you say, or you could use the 2.0 Eboot loader which is compatible with more and more homebrew with every revision. Check this forum for more info on the 2.0 eboot loader.

70% of total homebrew on 2.0. Fanjita just confirmed.

Sadly you must do the upgrade/downgrade to play.
Hopefully this wont be the case forever.

I have the full purchased UMD of GTA, so this is merely out of curiosity, but is there any way to play GTA off the mem stick in 2.0? I doubt it as games run in kernel mode and you can't get access to kernel mode in 2.0 via eboot.

The reason I'm curious is because everyone keeps asking if they can use the ISO file they downloaded on 1.5, and everyone says no, upgrade to 2.0, but no one mentions that you also have to purchase this and any other retail game you want to play on 2.0.

I just wanted to clear this up before people start thinking you can upgrade to 2.0, play your torrent copy of GTA, then downgrade back to 1.5 for other ISOs.
