Default My emulators seem to be running a bit slow...... how come?

The current emulators that I use are sega, SNES, and GBA and with all 3 of them, while im playing games such as sonic or mario, the music starts to lag and tha game play goes slower, is there a way to fix that? Now I heard changeing the CPU clock might help, if I change it to 333MHz will it help? is this bad for the PSP and by doing that will it change any effects if I play a normal psp game?

Always use 333mhz to play at normal speed if the same problem persists then look for another rom for that game. I was playing Sonic 3 and I could never get through the 5th stage Sonic never appeared on screen in the boss battles, So I got a new one and it worked.
