just convert them to mp3 and edit the txt files, but yes .ogg compatibility would be great.

I get bored with the [only] 6 songs. Does anyone know if there's a way to add songs onto it from sites? If so, could you tell me which site(s) I can go to get them and how to put them on? I'll SERIOUSLY appreciate it as I get so bored. If there's no way, I hope there's gonna be another version soon!

Nice list of links to stepfiles. Don't bother with the keyboard packs, if you try pulling those off on a PSP you will break it.

PSPRevolution comes with prepacked songs. Look in the "Songs" folder and use the existing songs to easily determine how the program expects the files to be ordered.

If you get a .smzip file you need to have stepmania installed on the PC to unzip the pack. It automatically unzips the songs to the right place to play songs on your PC, most likely C:\Program Files\Stepmania\Songs
Zitat von FlipRicer
Check the link i posted a few posts back, it has many songs.

Ok, I [finally] got songs on it [yay!!]. But where are there good songs for PSPRevolution because most of the ones I found aren't really that good and most are for the actual Stepmania game on the console/PC, so it sometimes gets cut off. I saw your link, but I don't know which ones actually work with PSPRevolution (said to not even try using the Keyboard packs). Thanks for the help.

I'm sorry if this has already been answered, but I've been messing around with PSP Revolution (a darn fine game, if I do say so myself), and I've been transferring some of my Stepmania collection to the game, but for whatever reason, the game will freeze when I scroll through the list of the songs I've imported. I thought it was specific songs at first, but it seems to be random. Any idea why? I've tried playing some of my imports, they work, but I can't find any rhyme or reason to the freezing.
Other than that, fantastic work. The one homebrew game I would really pay for.

Ah, I had a hunch it might be something like that, since the banner would never load when it froze. Am I able to just delete the banners for them, or would that cause further problems?

I dunno if anybody knows this but if you download sm files from stepmania it'll download as a .smzip, you can rename it and change the ending to .zip that way you won't need stepmania.

Put the name "psprevol" without quotes.

skin mod (my first)
hi all, i've been a regular visitor to this site since the PSP was first released so i thought it was about time i signed up to the forum and got involved.
Before i share my recently made skin with you all, i'd just like to say a huge thanks to the coding team behind PSP-Revolution, its my most played homebrew game and well - i love it, cheers.
Really looking forward to future updates.
Now on to the goods.
I recently made a skin for PSPR and thought i would share it with you all, feedback would be appreciated as its my first skin and as with any graphics mod, its nice to know what people like/dislike.
Here are a few screens.
Title screen:-

Song Select :

I changed most screens, except the options and credits screens, also i left the arrows etc as they are (didnt really see any point in changing them, but prob will give it a try next time)
The full pack of graphics plus a bonus song titled 'DAIKENKAI'.
Can be found here :-
PSPR - Snares SKin
hope you like it.
(ps - i'm aware that the start menue has some odd movement concerning the start/options/credits/exit buttons, i was going to sort it out, but htought it loked kinda cool as it is. lol - glitches are fun ;))Geändert von Snares (04-23-2006 um 10:37 PM Uhr)

ok, so how do I go about customising this? for an example, I Dled Domo Domo Domo.smZIP file. I dunno if thats gonna work or not, but anyways...I put that in a Domo Domo Domo file, and also one of my backgrounds of Domo. So it contains the .smZIP and the BG. I loaded up the game, set the difficulty like I normally do, I went down to Domo Domo Domo and it froze. I know I must be doing something wrong, could somebody give me some help/advice?
-

You have the .smZIP file on your PSP?I put that in a Domo Domo Domo file, and also one of my backgrounds of Domo. So it contains the .smZIP and the BG
if thats the case you need to unzip it so you just have the files. These should be placed in the 'PSP/Game/PSPR/SONGS/' folder.
If you do have the files unzipped and placed correctly then check the banner graphic size of the song you are trying to play.
So either resize the banner or delete it completly, then it should work fine. The Game seems to not run interlaced png's, so you have to find out which banners are interlaced and either deinterlace them with a good image editor or just delete them. Open each mix of songs, and each time you reach a song that crashes you (not the one you're on when you crash, but say you're on song 1 and hit down and it crashes, still showing song 1, song 2 is the song that crashed you) , find the banner image for the song (the png without the -bg) and delete or deinterlace it.Geändert von Snares (04-26-2006 um 09:09 AM Uhr)

Ok, I downloaded Stepmania, and finally got the songs to work on my PSP YAY!! But now I have a new question. some of the songs I have on it won't let me change the difficulty setting. Is it supposed to be that way, based on the song, or is it some kind of error on the programmer/my part?
oh, and one more thing ^_^ (sorry lol) is there a way that I can get, say, some of the songs off my comp. intead of downloading stuff other people have made. For example, Jimmy eat World, disturbed songs? I know that I could just replace the MP3 or something cant I, I am mainly just wondering if there is a way I can obtain .sm files of thoes bands and other ones aswell.
I just uploaded Ballroom Blitz into stepmania, and it says there is an option to automatically sync the steps with the music, but I cant find out how to do that. Can anyone tell me?Geändert von Isaacp (04-26-2006 um 01:15 PM Uhr)
