Oh man, I cannot wait until the update is out. I absolutely love DDR. This release was pretty good. My main problem with it was my songs getting out of sync with the arrows =\

Hehe, these were the results of me trying to play PARANOIA Survivor and V (for etreme), both on heavy mode and out of sync.





But man, it will be so awesome when this gets to the point to where it pretty much has all the features of the original Stepmania.

Heck ya it would be! I love stepmania and happy to hear of an update! I have the original and I agree that the main problem is out of sync arrows. But i also faced some interface problems like selecting the difficulty. Some songs press right for harder, others left.

And I need to test some more songs. I put like 100 songs on my PSP (every song from DDR Extreme that wasn't on previous DDR games). On some songs, it's almost synced up, and on others there's a two or three second lag. Why does it fluxiate on a per song basis?

About 2 weeks ago devin923 sent me a build and all the steps are in sync perfectly now. I don't want to give to much away.

Ok my review on .2

Sadly.. its not much. >.<

Ok I AM hyped up at the the aspect of changes I have seen and felt! Its really nice indeed! The new options, new preview song and themes. Very nice indeed, its a larger step and the overall version upgrade looks solid. Feels nice and will be excitement to more users here.

Downside.... This one hurt.. my custom song files and so, simple ones like "Bubble Bobble" are not in tune anymore.. You play DDR long enough to "Know" what arrows come at what time and what beat.. this one is way off now.. The arrows I expected to come dont come till later or whatever. So not sure if its a sync issue or what.. but its not the same steps I am used to hitting at the songs played.

However the "official" 1-8 mixes seem to be fine I think, only custom ones that everyone uses seems to be off in the steps. That alone.. hurts.

Also since the new upgrade my "Wild Arms Theme" song freezes the PSP now. I dont even get to select it and it freezes on the preview. Didnt do that in .1

Also sometimes during a song, the steps will "freeze" for a sec and then it seems to sunc up to the music again.. but steps are still not where they are supposed to be. =/

So I think I might go back to .1 for now since all "my" songs seemed to be synced just fine. Otherwise however the REST of the new version is kick ass! I like it alot! Just needs that step mapping fixed up.

New place to get songs. www.benamistyle.com is one, otherwise google stepmania sim files or so, should find em easily, think another site was flash something.

I was given a fixed copy of v2! WOOT!!!!! All fixed up! My songs work fine now, they are in beat, the new options menu works great, the feel and style of this makes you feel its really a upgraded version.

Its working quite well now for me. =D All my songs played, no freezing. No issues. =)

This new v2 should be promising to anyone who wants to play. =DDDD Just when you upgrade from V1 you should do a fresh install, as they moved how the gfx and sounds folder works. Just reimport your songs folder once installed.

Otherwise this gets my stamp of approval. =D So whenever he decides to release it to the forums, the news will be up. =)

Are there cmods or anything the speeds up the arrows? Would help in more complex songs.
Also if its not too much trouble, can you upload your custom songs? I'm interested in seeing the adjustments. :)

My custom songs? Erm.. thats quite alot. I dont think Ill host them here, but on my site I did. I might upload my packs again sometime soon.

Also thx on the link fix. It was off the top of my head heh. I know they added more since I last checked.. just havent got around to it yet. Heh.

Also no speed adjustments yet. =/ I know I would love my 1.5x and Boost mode too.
