ok 1 i feel really special cuz i was THE first to download and test it (yay), and second this is soooo awesome. just sum constructive critism.
1. when u finish the options dun forget to put in them suppot. mmmmkaaayy??
2. timing is a little off with every song that i put on there. they play fine on my PC. Maybe a way to compensate for that by adding a time space before playing the song?
3. grading screen please.

Wow, just looking at the video, hearing other peoples thoughts, and the video Clay made (hehe, you're hair is spiky :P) it looks awesome :) But, the PSPU server is acting wierd for me, and can't download it.

Can somebody host it somewhere like uploadhut.com or some other free hosting site so I can beat all your scores? :twisted:

Ya, same problem. I got them from the same site too.

First, it would crash when I highlighted the music folder (8th Mix). I fixed that, since it has to have 'Banner' at the end of the banner picture.

Now, I did the same thing with all my songs, added 'BG' and 'Banner', but it still doesn't work

PS: I'm uploading the ZIP right now, I'll edit my message once it's uploaded :) Seems PSPUpdates finally allowed me to download it :) So, try again, but I'm gonna post another link anyway.

Yeah, I had the same problem.
BUT, if you use a bit of logic, if you look in the .sm or .dwi file, it has some headers. You need to edit these. Look at the included songs and use teh same tag names.

Thats how I got mine to work!

Well, all you really need to edit are a few names, and also I thing the header that describes where the mp3 file is located.

I spent maybe 2 minutes on each file to get it so its like, almost identical to the included songs.

Just give it a shot.

Ive tried renaming the folder and still cant get it to work, where am I supposed to place the folders?

To get PSPR working on a 2.0 this is what you need

1. Fanjitas v.8 loader - Fanjita's v.8 Loader & Patch
2. PSP Revolution!
3. The EBOOT from the 1.0 EBOOT only PSPR folder.
4. In the 1.5/PSPR folder you will need all the folders there.


First copy the folder inside of PSPR 1.0 EBOOT folder named "PSPR" and rename it to "psprevol".
The folders in the 1.5/PSPR folder, Graphics, Screenshots, Songs, and Sounds then need to be copied into the "psprevol" folder.
Toss the newly modified "psprevol" folder containing the 1.0 EBOOT along with the 4 folders, Graphics, Screenshots, Songs, and Sounds into the psp/game portion of your memory stick.
Unhook the usb and load up the v.8 loader (with patch) and it should work!! :razz:

If you run into the problem of not being able to run the game again after you have shutdown fanjita's loader, make sure to reboot your PSP fully by holding down the power switch for 10 seconds.

Alright, heres my *super short* guide to get it working with songs.

1. open one of the included songs' .dwi file. copy all of the lines that start with '#' near the begining

2. open up your song's .dwi file (or .sm works I think), and paste right at the beginging on a new line.

3. you now have a huge mess. what you do now is go line by line and make sure what you copied from the sample is on the .dwi file. If it isnt, either replace the line or modify it. when your done, just delete what you originally pasted and save.

You now have the dwi file working. Here is how the PNG files work.

Alright, take your small, rectagular image. If it is not 256x80, resize it.

Also, you MUST do the following to it:
1. open it in MSpaint
2.edit 1 pixel, even if its a black dot on top of another black dot. point is, modify the image.
3. save it.

Do the same to the background image. However, this image can be any size, but only the first 480x272 will be shown.

If you have a logo file, do the same if you want. Not sure about those..

Try a full restart of your psp.

To run PSPR, just keep renaming the folder that it is installed in, so that it is different lengths, until it works.

e.g. I tried
/psp/game/pspr
/psp/game/pspre
/psp/game/psprev

until I got to /psp/game/psprevol, which works fine for me. Very nice game, btw.

Same thing happened with PSP Rhythm Composer, I never quite worked out why.

I rather enjoy this. I can master any song on any mode on stepmania with my keyboard, now I gotta get used to this, I tried it once with an xbot controller, but it never caught on, but I'm sure this will.

As its prolly said 100 times, just some things to improove in the future:
Enable announcers
Enable Background animation (will be hard on the psp hardware)
Add BGM to the menu screens
High Scores
Clean up the results page after finishing a song

Those are just my comments, if none of those were changed, I still think this game is KCIKASS.
