FINALLY!!. haha.. i just downloaded the patch for the 0.8 eboot loader and did all the steps from paul-d and it worked.. (2.0)

hmmm is that the bin patch or the other one, and did you rename the folder to psprevol immediately or do you go through the steps??

finally it works;
it appears that when I replaced the l_bin thing i had the old bin from the v5 loader and when it asked me to replace the file and i said yes it changed the filename from a capital L_08 which is what it is supposed to be to a l_08 which will not work, so if anyone else has a problem that could be it.

Ok, uhhhh, how are you supposed to get two arrows at a time? The dpad can't handle it...

Yeah just get any DDR for PS2 or XBOX.

Edit: This is a SWEET homebrew! A must have for any homebrew gamer! Its great that it works on 2.0, 1.5, and 1.0, this is something you definently must have, no matter what firmware! (Except 2.5 of course... for now...)

If you expect to be able to beat ANY of the harder songs, you need to get used to using both the arrow buttons and the face buttons simultaneously. My only suggestions are that the L and R buttons also function as Left and Right and that Start pause. The menu button could be refitted to select since L would be Left.

Oh hey, sorry to post this here but this is something different from the topic, but still PSP. Um i wanted to try and make my own PSP BACKGROUNDS and other pictures too. But my problem is that when i look for tutorial for PhotoShop (I wan to use PhotoShop), yes so when i look for one it's always a tutorial about version 8.0 or lower. I want to use 9.0 CVS, now is that good version or are the 8.0 and down better. Please help?!!!

In 2.0 if you exit the game to the eboot loader, then re-launch it, the sound goes out. I'm sure this has already been mentioned, but if not, no thanks will be necessary. :icon_wink

Hey, I downloaded DDR Mix 3 and whenever I rename the file to BANNER so that it will run I can only get to the part where you select a song to play and it freezes up and restarts my PSP. The banner shows fine too, so I dunno what the problem is. Also I tried my own song I created and it freezes up too. Is a SM file better or something because I am using DWI files right now. I'll switch and see... Hope you can help me.

Now I got it where it doesn't freeze at the select song part but when you press it to play it does. But I'm alos missing the TITLE file so maybe thats whats wrong, let me make one and see.


Edit AGAIN:

Hrmmmm... Can it accept mp3s over 1.0 mb? The others arent over 1 mb so maybe thats the problem. Let me get a smaller mp3 if I can and see.

I think that is the problem. Anything larger than 2 mb, though, won't work. I downloaded a 3 mb one and it wouldn't work. The song I'm using probably can't get any smaller as it is 3 minutes and 47 seconds, at least not without some quality change. Too bad...

Well every version below 9.0 which is CS2 will have everything you need because making the backgrounds is fairly simple.

I am also glad everyone else got there games working on 2.0, I am very sorry I didn't say anthing about the patch for v.8 But at least you guys got it!!!

Have fun, and now we need a good tutorial on how to get more songs working!!! (all the songs are to easy on heavy for me... :) )

I'm gonna comment again on how fuggen awesome this is. Playing Across the nightmare, the least 100 sec and billions of others on my psp! So awesome! And I love the control layout u used. The exact one form the ps2 versions thank god! no turning the psp sideways are crap. You two seriously own.

I downloaded the 7th mix from one of the torrent sites, got B4U (my favorite ddr song) just copied the folder, not modifiying anything at all right into the plaugemix 2 folder. Long story short, it worked no problem...
I'll upload different songs and look at the size of each mp3 and the dimensions of the picture files.

Edit: Tried Maxx Unlimited, like other people I ran into the same problem with the game freezing when you go highlight the song...

Upon further investigation of the size of the song files that are included with PSPR all of them are less then 1.6 mbs. So is there a limit for file size?
Maxx Unlimited - 1.94 mbs - Not working
B4U - 1.2 mbs - Working

The investigation continues!

Edit 2: I uploaded another song into the songs list for a total of 5 songs, looks like it freezes up with more then 4... I will delete one (B4U) and try Paranoia which is below 1.6 mbs.
- Paranoia doesn't work...I'm stumpt at why B4U will and Paranoia doesn't...
If you downloaded the packs, 1st mix, 2nd mix...ect...I guess getting the right song is what its all about, I'm not exactly sure what makes certain songs work and other ones freeze up your psp..
