i was snooping around my mem stick with File assistant and i found a folder called FOUND.000 on the memory stick with a bunch of .CHK files and i cant see this when i acess my memory sticky on my PC. i created a shortcut to this file from my pc and copied the contents. also i was looking at the second flash and there are a lot of things that have the option to RUN

can yu upload the found.000 stuff? and the stuff in flash1 is runable but does nothing there kernal calls i think

By any chance are you using xp with norton anti virus?
I think you'll find that these are the back up data for things you have deleted it calls them "protected files". The reason the psp can't see them is because they are hidden.

have you checked what this found.chk file actually is?
also how did you find it i checked through my ms and found nothing maybe some homebrew you used have left them files on your ms? ok only saw post above please ignore this post sorry |

.chk files are usually CHUNKS found when somethings gone wrong and chkdisk has been run.... like lost data... being as the memstick uses Fat32 and not the superior and somewhat fault tolerant NTFS.. I'd say its more likely its this than any useful stuff.... if u get a disk problem.. run chkdisk and it finds stuff you'll have the exact same types of files in the root of your C: drive..

Oren's correct. I've seen these files over the years, usually after running a chkdsk command or Norton decides to "get funky" with a USB drive.
Even seen WinXP "automagically" run chkdsk on a USB drive if it was plugged in upon bootup.
