read this i got it to work. it just freezes the psp and it doesnt turn off until you take out the battery.

Another crash. Keep in mind that crashes don't necessarily equal exploit.

P.S. 2.0 wasn't hacked using a "crash", it was a known overflow issue in an open source library that was exploited.

I wish people would stop making conclusions like its just a crash and not an exploit..true that a crash doesnt automatically mean it is an exploit.. but just because it is a crash and not a direct exploit also doesnt mean it cant be found to contain one or trigger one..

I realize that the thread starter has developed a reputation on some other forums, but posts like that one just don't help at all. We have something called Operation Positive Posting around here and it looks to be about time to start heavily enforcing it again.

As far as locking it. He hasn't posted anything that can potentially harm member's PSPs and hasn't gone around spamming about the crash he's found. If at some point, it becomes necessary we will take action.

Remember, this is the same guy who claimed to have "hacked" Sony's servers and downloaded the source-code for firmware 3.0 (from a dial-up connection?!?! Laughable at best), also claimed to have developed a way to run GTA on firmware 1.5, and claimed to have written a "de-bricker" program. He also claimed to have taken the "flash chip" out of the PSP itself and hooked it up through a USB port on his computer and was able to do things to the file structure.
Same kid. Same exact kid. He's just an attention-whore.
