man, this thread is like 80% speculation
ppl, dont upgrade to any firmware thinking that this will be a downgrader method, just wait till something is announced.
and really, all this attention isnt great, the more ppl that know about this possible hack, the more sony wants to plug it, so id wish everyone to just keep quite for a while, and let the hackers and programers hack and program

Have a hard time my ass. You underestimate proffesionals. I'll bet they can counter-act this with a quick and simple firmware update, as they always have. All they need to do is modify the way/files that are saved from games. Simple.

There will be a new firmware probably about 3 days after the hack comes out and homebrew runs on 2.5. That is my estimation, though it is PURELY guesswork. I think that the hackers should focus more on KERNAL MODE on 2.0 before trying to hack later FWs though.
