Default PSP Ver 2.0.1 dilemma!? when hack?

well after browsing the internet and this forum for couple of hours i found out that the PSP ver 2.0.1 isn't downgradable for now.... now i read in most of the topics.... soon there will be a hack.... and fajita is working hard on it...
other topics i read it will be here for christmass.... and other topics it said that fajita can't bring out the hack for christmass time because the hack is a pain in the ass....

after all this i end up with alot of confusion and and depression because i got a brand new PSP ver 2.0.1 with 2x 2gb memorycard with al the goodies and 50 gb PSP games on cd's which i even can't play....
Some of you guys out there can feal my pain right now..... imagine yourself staring to your brandnew psp with 4gb memory and 100 games but only thing that you can do is whatch movies and listen music on it...

so can any1 help me out with my question when the hack officially comes out?

sorry 4 my grammer.. english isn't my first language

if you were seaching around you would see that we dont like piracy too much here. saying you have 100 PSP games (there aren't even that many) or "50GB" of games (there aren't that many games) will get you about as much help as a monkey who is throwing its own excrement at you would get you.

besides, if you were searching around like you said, you would see that nobody really KNOWS when it will be out. it will be out when it will be out. and to top it all off, you said that people were saying it would be out for christmas...and it's christmas day... and there's nothing out for 2.01... i wonder if it will be out for christmas!

What Fanjita is working on is an EBOOT loader, which allows unsigned software written by people (not sony) to be ran. In version 1.0, no exploit was needed, then with version 1.5, an exploit was found using 2 memory sticks. Afterwords, the 1.5 exploit was improved when it was found out that the 2nd memory stick could just be replaced with a setup with 2 folders with a % at the end of one.

With version 2.0, an eboot is loaded using an exploit found using a .TIFF file to overflow the psp's memory (not sure, I'm a 1.5er) and that program lets you load other eboots in a nice interface.

I hope this helps you out, I have to fix my rep after being banned yesterday

as far as i know they cant have an offical realease date because they don't even have a way to downgrade yet.they need kernel mode to acess flash 0 so all you can do for now is upgrade or wait.

Even once homebrew software is running on v2.01, it will be a long time before you're able to play your pirated games:

- A downgrader is not currently possible on v2.01, and is unlikely to be possible unless another exploit (other than GTA) is found.

- The homebrew loader (once it's working) will not support ISO loading - you will only be able to run legitimate free homebrew games, not copies of commercial software.

PS, whats yoru frist language?
i speak fluent dutch and farsi.

well my psp is 2.0.1 i just got the thing like few days agoo.... i didn't even knew what this whole firmware can cause this much trouble if you want to play homebrew.
i don't gonna upgrade it. I'm not stupid, fanjita is currently working on the 2.0.1 .... otherwise mostlikely the 2.5.... the 2.6 which is now offered by sony itself ..... wont't be downgradable for a long time! and as far as i know the 2.6 system is very different then the >2.00 versions... so i keep my fingers far away from the upgrade botton and gonna get myself the midnight club game which i love on the ps2 .... untill i can play homebrew on my psp (A).

and the 100 games things... i checked the cd's i bought again and it's like 30/40 games and somemovies along with it too i didn't bought the cd's specificly... it was along with the package and i thought why not ey... for 350 Euro's for brandnew psp + 2x 2gb memorycards and 10 dvd-cd's full of stuff is not expensive (A)

so i'll be waiting and checking the forum every day till fanjita my savior brings the thing out for 2.0.1

I'm pretty sure that it will be comming soon, because fanjita said he was trying to get it to run on 2.01+ but he couldn't squeeze it out for christmas, that means he was close, and we should expect it soon

i'm trying to boycot amazon lol, they delivered my studybooks like 2months late .
like i said i'm gonna buy mid night club dub edition tomorrow because the stores are closed 2day .

the thing is i rather have that i can downgrade it to 1.5 and that i can play iso on it than playing homebrew on the 2.0.1 without the abbility to play iso on it

buuuuut it's al up to fanjita and what he thinks is best init
